Innovative, Productive, Independent Agriculture replaced: ‘Leave us alone!’

An interesting insight into communication channels surrounding investment in food security. Documents of particular interest are the following scientists ignored concerns and the preliminary environmental and social impact assessment which are referred to multiple times in support of the projects sustainability, though reading it suggests otherwise.

My own preliminary assessment and learning point from this -in relation to my research- is that successful negotiation and claims to multi-lateral understanding are completely useless, if not harmful, if their is no workable strategy to make sure they are actually kept – rather than them not being kept and waiting for someone  aware enough to pick up on it (such as this case). And that each participant can be held to account by the other participants. In this case people are protesting adn pushing for governmental law enforcement to take the role of ensuring ‘what we’ve been sold’ is followed through on.
